We couldn’t be more excited to announce the newest additions to our ClassDojo Community team, Magdalene Mattson and Brett Salakas!

Magdalene (Maggie) Mattson

Maggie has been teaching in Sydney for six years and loves it! Her experience ranges from from infants to upper primary. Maggie is passionate about the impact positive encouragement can have in the classroom, on both student learning and character development!

Apart from being one of the ClassDojo Australia Community Leads, Maggie is also part of the #aussieED team, is a Google Certified Teacher, and a Google Apps for Education Trainer. You can catch her tweeting regularly at @madgiemdEDU and blogging at Maggie’s Miss EDventures.

“I am looking forward to growing a community of like-minded educators, focused on encouraging students with positivity and engaging parents! Teachers all around Australia will be able to connect about what matters most, sharing teaching strategies, best practices, and resources with one another.” – Maggie

Brett Salakas

Brett is a Primary School Teacher who exudes positivity! Over the past 18 years, Brett has taught in South East Asia and Australia, both in public and independent schools. Brett is committed to turning educational theory into real classroom practice and is all about connection, collaboration, and inspiration.

You can find Brett all over the Twittersphere as @MRsalakas. He is the founder of #aussieED, a moderator of several other twitter chats, and a Google Certified Teacher. We are excited to have him join Maggie as the new ClassDojo Australia Community Leads.

“I am looking forward to the Community Lead role because I know that one of the keys to success as a teacher is building effective and authentic relationships with parents and students — that is exactly what ClassDojo assists teachers in doing!” – Brett
